DACA - Repeal it or Adopt it? A short time ago, President Trump kicked the DACA football to the Congress, the receiving team. POTUS gave Congress two years to come up with a law, that apparently they couldn't manage to pass under the Obama Administration.
I see the logic behind this decision. POTUS doesn't feel responsible with owning this problem; and no one person should be held responsible for it either. This is a joint issue and can only be solved by everyone WorkingTOGETHER to resolve it!Obama handed this issue over to Congress and they failed to resolve the problem. Now, they expect POTUS to take care of their shortfalls!
My campaign proposes that we keep the immigration programs that work and repeal or abolish the programs that don't work!
Here's one way we can accomplish that goal. First, we allow a one time Open Enrollment period, wherein, every illegal alien must enroll within this window of opportunity, without fear of being deported. They must also file an immediate application for US Citizenship, and begin the legal process of becoming a legalized citizen of the United States. Every enrollee will complete the necessary classes and upon swearing to uphold the Federal Constitution, they will become legalized citizens.
All Dreamers must also file immediately for legal citizenship, and they too must complete the necessary classes and upon completion, swear to uphold the Federal Constitution, upon doing so, they will become legalized citizens.
Any Applicant who commits a felony within the State of South Dakota, or any other State within the United States, will not only be subject to punishment in that other State, but will further be subject to deportation, once they return to South Dakota. The bottom line here folks is that we must all WorkTOGETHER or we won't accomplish anything! We must WorkTOGETHER to get on top of the serious offenders' and get them the hell out of our country! We will have zero tolerance towards any alien resident visitor who commits a felony crime against another US Citizen, while here in the State of South Dakota.
